About this Blog

Hello world, I am Audrey's first blog post.

I have wanted to have a website for as long as I have known about the internet. (I wasn't exactly one of the cool kids in elementary school.) I remember surfing the web back in 1994, when my
knowledge of cyberspace was limited to The Fishcam and The Really Big Button That Doesn't Do Anything, imagining the content I would post on my website.

But I never put anything up. Between desiring the self-satisfaction that would come with coding my own site, my complete and utter lack of HTML skills and sheer laziness, I remained a spectator for over a decade.

Why now? A few converging forces:

(1) Tons of time. Now that I've graduated college and have acquired a "real job", I am once again spending the same number of hours on the internet as I did when I was 10. Funny how it works that way.

(2) I'm jealous of all of my friends and their super-cool blogs. I'll let you decide if this makes me a loser or not.

(3) I think I'm funny. I admit it's a persistent
problem.

(4) Blogger is easy.

Blogger also brings me to the title of this project. By using the idiot-proof (I hope) interface, I can skip all the boring, high-falutin' web design and focus on content (regardless of merit, I might add). Blogger has enabled me, and every other weirdo in the world, to get up on our virtual soapboxes with minimal effort.

In conclusion, I wish I were motivated enough to create a real website. Maybe someday I will. But though this blog is low-concept, it's better than nothing.

I now present to you, dear readers, the self-explanatory outcome:

LowConcept: Better than nothing.

I hope to write daily. We'll see. Feedback is encouraged - not to mention links! If you want me to link to your blog, your website, your internet escort service - consider it done. As I'm new at this, I'm fairly desperate.

Yours,
Audrey.

you should take the time you spent rereading the post to find mistakes and spend it making a new one!
